Stephen received a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University. His first assignment whilst at Hertz was in Operations Research and improving fleet utilization, from here he progressed through numerous line management functions ending with the senior posting in Canada in 1978, Senior Vice President and General Manager.
In 1982, Stephen assumed the Vice-President and General Manager role at Canadian Bonded Credits and in the ensuing 12 years grew the company over four-fold through innovative marketing strategies and acquisitions making CBC the largest privately owned Collection Agency in Canada, eventually becoming Chief Executive Officer.
In 1996 Stephen successfully with the CBC divestiture team sold Canadian Bonded to Equifax Canada and assumed full responsibility for the combined accounts receivable management business. Steve also participated in the acquisition team that was responsible for the Equifax purchase of Creditel.
Stephen has been quoted and was the subject of numerous magazine and newspaper articles covering all aspects of Accounts Receivable Management. He has been asked to speak to North American Credit Grantors on numerous occasions and has been a leader in bringing advanced technology and innovative marketing solutions to the Accounts Receivable discipline.
Stephen as Principal of SCORE has consulted with a major multi-national in devising a new marketing strategy for an electronic funds transfer.
He has also consulted with a major Canadian financial institution on the consolidation of all personal lending facilities in a national collection centre.
Stephen has conducted numerous Accounts Receivable training sessions for private sector firms as well as the Ministry of Finance for the Province of Ontario and worked with the Provinces of Alberta and British Columbia in various consultative roles.
Stephen has brokered out sale of distressed debt over a considerable career that would exceed $2 billion in face debt sales. He is a recognized leader in Distressed Asset Sales and has chaired the Canadian Dormant Debt Conference for the last 6 years.
Stephen also brokers the sale of Accounts Receivable Management firms within today's era of North American consolidation.
